Samuthirakani's next film titled Kitna

Director Samuthirakani is to begin work on his next film shortly. And this time, he will both be acting and directing in it. Sources close to the director-actor say that he has named his next film Kitna, a shortened form of the word Krishna.
When Chennai Times got in touch with the director, who is now busy finishing all his acting assignments, he confirmed the news saying, 'Yes, it is true.I will start work on my film in October. This film is special as the story will be presented in four different regions each with a different season. For instance, one portion will be shot in a windy area and another in an area that is being lashed by rains. The climax will be shot with a fire background.
'Keeping with the theme, my film has four important characters. I play one character and Dhansikaa has been finalized to play another. In the film, she has a very challenging role as she will have four different get-ups. Basically, the film will look to capture the developments that happen in her life from her 18th year till the 48th year,' says Samuthirakani, who says he is in the process of finalizing the artists who will be playing the other two characters in his film.
'I am hoping Amala Paul will do the third role and I plan to launch a new Kannada boy called Yogi, in Kollywood. I met him while doing a Kannada film,' says Samuthirakani. But what will the film's message be? 'What else can it be other than the need to be a humanitarian,' asks Samudrakani. 'It is something we are losing and this film, like other films of mine, will try to stress on its significance,' he informs.
