BHOPAL: Burglars targeted two adjacent shops in Malviya Nagar and decamped with cash and valuables worth lakhs of rupees on Wednesday night.
Police said that burglars barged into a Photostat shop by breaking shutters. Thereafter, they dug a hole into the eight inch thick wall of the shop to enter into the adjacent jewellery shop.

A case was later registered at TT Nagar police station.
The same shops have been targeted for the second time in past two months in similar manner. Earlier, burglars had targeted Photostat shop, but didn't succeed in breaking the adjoining wall.
The complainant Santosh Kumar Soni, a resident of Nehru Nagar, told TOI that he closed his jewellery shop on Wednesday night and went home. On Wednesday morning, he got a call from a resident Vinod who informed that his shop has been burgled.
"I rushed to the shop and saw the broken wall. It is for the second time that my shop has been targeted, but earlier the burglars didn't succeed in breaking the wall," he said, adding that case was not registered by the police earlier.
