Car in flames, two injured

SILCHAR: A car suddenly caught fire when it was moving along the Jail Road locality of Silchar town on Thursday morning, injuring two passengers of the vehicle. Sources said the vehicle was on its way from Jalalpur in the Katigora locality of Cachar district to Silchar.
However, when it reached Jail Road at 5 am, it suddenly caught fire. Within moments, fire engulfed the car, injuring Muzakkir Ali Barbhuiya (37) and Saharuddin Barbhuiya (19) critically.Soon after the incident, locals informed the police and fire brigade.
While fire tenders doused the flames after reaching the spot, police with the help of locals sent the two passengers to Silchar Medical College Hospital (SMCH).
