KORAPUT: Train services between Koraput and Jeypore continue to be hit as boulders that blocked the tracks after Monday's landslide are yet to be removed.
"Work is taking time as landslides took place at nine places between Jarti and Maliguda stations and the tracks are filled with boulders and debris.
A special team of technical persons from Visakhapatnam and Bhubaneswar are monitoring clearing of tracks.
We expect it will take two more days to make the tracks operational," said station manager at Koraput railway station Jogendra Nath Majhi.
The railways have terminated the Bhubaneswar-Jagdalpur (Hirakhand express) at Koraput, Jagdalpur-Howrah (Samleswari express) at Titlagarh, Kirandul-Vishakapatnam passenger train at Koraput.
"At least 12 goods train, primarily carrying iron ore, which ply on the tracks daily have been suspended," the official said.
