Mishti Chakraborty Tollywood debut

Mishti Chakraborty is now shooting for a Telugu film in the city
Hyderabad: The name Indrani Chakraborty might not ring a bell, but Mishti Chakraborty will. “Bengalis are always known by their nickname so that is why Mishti became more popular than Indrani,” she says.
The Bengali girl, who made her Bollywood debut with Subhash Ghai’s Kaanchi, is set to mark her Tollywood debut opposite Nithiin. The untitled-film is currently being shot in Hyderabad and is slated for a December release.
Though Kaanchi did not do well at the box office, Mishti says that she wasn’t disappointed. “Kaanchi gave me my first big break and I got to work with someone like Subhash Ghai, what more could I have asked for?
Talking about how she bagged the Telugu movie, she says, “I had heard the script while I was in Mumbai. The offer came to me after Kaanchi and I did not see a reason to say no. I had heard a lot about the Telugu industry and was excited about this offer.”
She adds, “It’s a rom-com and has a mixture of romance, comedy, thriller etc., so I am sure that the audience will like it.” The actress is also all praise for her co-star Nithiin. “I had also heard about Nithiin, that he is a versatile actor. When your co-actor is talented, it pushes you to give your best,” she says.
The actress, however, adds that Bollywood would be her prime focus. “Tollywood is a good industry. But my main focus would always be Bollywood,” she says.
“I have a very tight schedule and I did not get the time to go around the city,” she says adding, “I am also trying to pick up Telugu but I have to admit that it is a very difficult language. I try to understand the dialogues before I deliver it, and the crew is helping me out with it.”
Talking about her future projects, she says, “I believe in concentrating on one movie at a time. I am in talks for a few projects but have not signed any as of now.”
