Telecom looks like a wait-and-watch game at the moment: Arindam Ghosh, BlackRidge Capital Advisors

In a chat with ET Now, Arindam Ghosh, CEO, BlackRidge Capital Advisors, shares his views on the telecom space.

ET Now: Let's talk about telecom as a space. There have been good earnings from Idea, Bharti, etc. As a sector too, telecom is propping up and seeing some pick-up in trading activity. How do you read into this? Do you think a longer bull market has just begun when it comes to telecom?

Arindam Ghosh: We would still like to wait and watch. We would like to see how the next two to three quarters play out. We will wait for some of the new initiatives by the government to actually impact the sector.

The threat of a price war, ever-increasing competition other such stuff make this particular sector look a little bit uncertain. Therefore, we would be neutral on it.

We would like to see how this entire payment platforms work out, and all that incrementally add value to the sector. We would also look out for how the competition pans out in the sector.
