When something is available in abundance, we often take it for granted. That is the case with wide receivers in fantasy football, as a slew of topflight candidates has caused many wideouts to be undervalued on draft day.
The third installment of our four-part series on undervalued players takes aim at the six wide receivers who fall into this category. These players are being taken later in drafts -- as determined by ESPN.com's average draft position -- than they should be, based on my analysis. They range from cornerstone No. 1 wide receivers to valuable veterans who are due to bounce back to their former production levels.
Here are my six most undervalued fantasy wide receivers:
1. Brandon Marshall, Chicago Bears
Current ESPN live draft ADP: 20.8
Current ESPN live draft positional rank: No. 5
The Football Scientist positional rank: No. 2
The first part of this case has to do with Marshall's incredibly prolific and consistent production level. He ranked sixth in the league in targets (160) and second in vertical targets (87 targets on aerials thrown 11 or more yards downfield). That superb pass volume led to his posting at least four receptions in every game last year and scoring nine or more fantasy points in 12 games.
