A former Olympic boxer has been jailed in Perth for two years for lying to the Australian Crime Commission.

Adam Tony Forsyth pleaded guilty to six counts of giving false or misleading evidence to the ACC during an inquiry.

Forsyth must serve at least one year behind bars before he is eligible for parole.

Police are seeking information regarding the whereabouts of a man last seen driving his vehicle out of Ravensthorpe.

Peter James Starr, 46, was last seen heading out of town about 10.40am on Wednesday in his white Toyota Hilux, registration plate: E28062.

Concerns are held for his safety and welfare as he has not confirmed any travel plans.

His vehicle has a large freezer/chiller on the tray of the ute and two antennas on the front.

Anyone who sees Mr Starr or his vehicle is asked to call Police on 131 444.

The outgoing chief executive of National Australia Bank, Cameron Clyne, has criticised the government's paid parental leave scheme as too costly and said the money would be better spent on child care.

Asked if the government can afford to honour its paid parental leave promise, Mr Clyne said "Well, no."

He also said that while NAB would have to pay an extra $100 million in tax under the plan, but this was not the reason he was opposed to the policy.
