NEW DELHI: Satyawati College (evening) student Puneet Kumar who had complained of ragging gave his statement before the anti-ragging committee of the college on Tuesday.
He identifed members of the group from the CCTV footage. "I clearly recognized two of them," he said, adding that the throng included seniors, students who'd already graduated and outsiders.
"I have not received the report of the committee yet," said Satender Kumar Joshi, principal of the college, adding that he'll share it with the police once he gets it. "We also want to know the other person who was with Puneet and want him to come to college."
Kumar joined Satyawati evening's BA programme this year, he was leaving the classroom when he was beaten up by a group of people standing at the staircase using broom-handles. He got three stitches on his head and had filed a police complaint before approaching college authorities. Police will take action against the perpetrators once the college submits its report.
