Billy Bob Thornton owns 50 pairs of boots

Billy Bob Thornton used to ''treat'' himself to new boots when he finished work on a movie.

The 'Fargo' actor has given up the ritual now, but admits his closet is bulging with over 50 pairs of footwear.

Discussing a pair of snake-adorned cowboy boots, he said: ''I got these in New Mexico a long time ago. I don't anymore, but it used to be when I finished a movie or something, I would always treat myself to a pair of boots. That was always my thing.''

Asked how many he owns, he said ''1.2 million. No, 50.''

Despite being nominated for an Emmy award for his role in 'Fargo', the actor won't be returning for a second season.

He told E! News: ''It was such a thrill to do the show.

''I have nothing to complain about. Hopefully, another one that good will come along.''

And the 58-year-old actor has an idea of what he'd like to do next, though his ideal role would be in now-defunct teen TV show 'Saved by the Bell'.

Asked what he would like to guest star on, he laughed: '''Saved by the Bell' is not on anymore, so I think I missed my chance.

''There's so much good stuff on TV. Maybe I can play what's his name? Hoder on 'Games of Thrones', the guy who only says, 'Hoder.' Maybe I could be his cousin or something, his long lost cousin.''
