Recently, Sangeet Darbar, an evening dedicated to classical music, saw Pandit Kaushik Bhattachaerjee take the audience on a trip to the world of ragas and raginis that left music lovers of the city enchanted. It was a rain drenched evening, and as Bhattacharjee began with raga Miya Malhar, which is a monsoon raga, the audience broke into thundering applause.
He continued with the famous bandish, Bole re papihara, which, too, was received with great enthusiasm by the audience.
