Schneider Electric H1 Net Profit (Group Share) Down, Revenues Rise - Quick Facts

French energy management firm Schneider Electric S.A. (SBGSF.PK) posted 1% lower net income (Group share) of 821 million euros in the first half of 2014, versus 831 million euros, as restated, last year. On an underlying basis, net income totaled 851 million euros for the recent period.

Half-yearly adjusted EBITA remained almost flat at 1.5 billion euros.

On the other hand, first-half 2014 revenues were 11.7 billion euros, up 3.2% on reported basis, and up 8.6% on constant FX basis. For the first six months of 2014, like for like, revenues grew by 0.6% and were up 2.7%, excluding
Infrastructure. Buildings & Partner and Industry businesses continue to lead organic growth, up 3.5% and 5.1% respectively.

Jean-Pascal Tricoire, chairman and chief executive, said: "In the first half of 2014, we deliver 3.2% growth despite strong currency headwinds and expand gross margin by 0.9 pt organically thanks to manufacturing productivity."
