Five Naxals killed in Chhattisgarh encounter

Three Central Reserve Police Force jawans were also injured in the incident
Raipur: At least five Maoists were believed to have been gunned down in an encounter with security forces in south Bastar district of Sukma in Chhattisgarh late on Monday evening, police said on Tuesday.
Three Central Reserve Police Force jawans were also injured in the incident that took place in the forest near Ramaram village in the district.
“Body of a Maoist was recovered at the encounter site. However, security forces were witness to Naxals carrying away four bodies with them while fleeing the spot,” a senior district police officer said.
The encounter took place when a joint search party of the CRPF and the district police was attacked in the forest near Ramaram village by the ultras, Sukma district superintendent of police D. Shrawan said.
