BRIEF: Isle of Capri's Perry retires from board [St. Louis Post-Dispatch :: ]

(St. Louis Post-Dispatch (MO) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) July 29--Jim Perry, a former CEO of Isle of Capri Casinos, has resigned as a board member.

A former executive at Trump Entertainment Resorts and Argosy Gaming Co., Perry joined Creve Coeur-based Isle of Capri's board of directors in 2007, was named CEO in 2008 and chairman in 2009. Virginia McDowell became Isle of Capri's president and CEO in 2011, but Perry remained on its board.

Earlier this month, Isle of Capri announced the elimination of several senior executive positions to cut costs, including the executive chairman position held by Perry.

Monday, Isle of Capri said in a regulatory filing that Perry resigned his board seat, effective immediately.

"Mr. Perry's decision to retire is not because of any disagreement with the company," Isle of Capri said in the filing. "The company wishes to express its appreciation for Mr. Perry's past service and important contributions and wishes him well in his future endeavors." Isle of Capri's 15 casino properties operate under the Isle Casino, Isle of Capri Casino and Lady Luck Casino brands, including casinos in Boonville, Cape Girardeau, Caruthersville and Kansas City, Mo.
