Mastermind of MY Hospital shootout surrenders

INDORE: Mastermind of an under-trial at MY Hospital, Chintu Thakur, surrendered before Sanyogitaganj police on Monday. The surrender comes 12 days after the incident in which a murder accused, Ram Dayal, who was undergoing treatment, was shot dead at pointblank range.
Police had announced a reward of Rs 10,000 on prime accused. The mastermind reportedly confessed to killing Ram Dayal by mistake and had gone to hospital to kill Jitendra alias JD but mistakenly shot Ram Dayal.
Sanyogitaganj police station in charge D S Yevale said, "Chintu Thakur has surrendered before the police and accepted his role in the case. Three other accused, including, killer Ritesh, are on the run."
Six persons were picked up for questioning by police, including those who were suspected to have supplied doctor's apron to the killer. They were quizzed by cops to reach to the killer, which led to two siblings Hemu and Chintu Thakur (residents of city's Banganga area) who allegedly plotted murder to avenge the November 2013 killing of their brother Pintu. Jitendra alias JD, 30, is the key accused in Pintu Thakur's killing.
