Ranbir Kapoor to act as an emcee for a music streaming portal

Ranbir Kapoor makes shrewd business decisions and now, has taken his interaction with audiences to another level. This time, the association is with something he loves - music. Taking a breather from his shoot for Jagga Jasoos and his endorsements, he will be hosting an evening as an emcee for a music streaming portal on August 19.

Says a source, "RK has always been a big fan of all kinds of music - from old Bollywood sings to the latest in pop. When the portal approached him to be a partner and brand ambassador, he immediately said yes. To mark that association, he will host an evening, that is said to mark the beginning of their musical journey together. While Ranbir will be specially inviting a few of his close friends from Bollywood some of India’s top music industry executives will also be attending the event along with a few singers. A surprise is also being planned at the end of the show and that segment will have Ranbir singing a few songs from old films and new ones."

A source says, "Ranbir's family has always been known for good music and now he is all set to take his love and understanding for music to the next level. Despite his packed schedule, he's taking a keen interest in every aspect of this musical evening and consulting with the core team at Saavn to ensure that the evening is something to be remembered forever."
