A man who allegedly robbed a Denver bank last week while wearing a shirt identifying himself has been formally charged.
John Martinez, 68, faces two counts of robbery in connection with the July 22 hold-up of Wells Fargo branch, the Denver District Attorney’s Office said.
Police tracked the car Martinez fled in — which was registered in his name — later finding him at a Denver motel where he was arrested without incident.
Martinez remains in the Denver County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond. Martinez is due back in court Tuesday.
