Hyderabad road accidents: Bus-auto crash kills one; school bus rams cars

Traffic accidents continue to claim lives due to rash driving and lane cutting

Hyderabad: Buses of educational institutes continued their unfortunate run on the city roads. On Monday, two buses belonging to two different educational institutions were involved in separate road accidents leading to the death of one person. Several others were injured.

At Kothwalguda in Shamshabad, an autorickshaw collided with the bus belonging to Vardhaman Engineering College.

According to Ch. Hari Prasad Reddy, investigating officer of the RGI airport police, the autorickshaw, with passengers onboard, was going towards Kothwalguda.

The autorickshaw driver, in an attempt to overtake the vehicle in front of it, went out of its lane.

The bus, which was approaching from the opposite direction, hit it.
Vinod, 25, a passenger, sustained grave injuries and died.

While Five others were injured and were shifted to a hospital.

Meanwhile, at Bandlaguda in Keesara, four people received minor injuries when a school bus rammed into two cars.

While the victims alleged that the school bus driver was drunk, police confirmed that he was not in an inebriated condition.

Three school children, who were inside the bus, escaped without any injuries.

The bus belongs to Reqelford International School at Keesara, and it was on its way to drop the kids homes.

“The road is narrow in this stretch due the ongoing road repair works. The bus driver lost control and rammed into the cars. One of the cars hit a tractor,” said Keesara inspector K. Krishna Kishore.
