Currently a free agent, Metta World Peace has been staying in shape this summer by participating in the Venice Basketball League in Los Angeles. Understandably, some of his rec league opponents have relished the opportunity to get physical with one of the NBA’s most notoriously tough players.
As the above clip shows, his frustration finally surfaced in a recent game. After noting in two tweets late Sunday night how “I love this brand of ball,” World Peace backtracked a bit Monday morning after the video started to surface.
Rather than risk his health (and a potential NBA contract this fall), World Peace plans to keep playing in the summer league (which takes place on the same courts immortalized in White Men Can’t Jump) and is trying to recruit more teammates to join his squad.
