Honda Mobilio VS Toyota Innova - All Samurai Clash

With Mobilio launched, the MPV segment comprising of Ertigas and Innovas has started to boil. Besides Ertiga, it is the best selling Innova that should be worried about Mobilio's market response. But has the Mobilio got the guts to chew the sales of the MPV segment king Toyota Innova? Time is the best astrologer for that. Though it is placed between the Ertiga and Innova, Honda's débutante MPV packs the power to take on the Ertiga while with the snazzier RS diesel variant up its sleeve, it definitely gives Innova a competitive tiff!

• Mobilio lacks on the interior style compared to Toyota but both the MPV offers top-notch quality and comfort.
• Both the vehicle offer second-row mounted AC blowers but Innova does features automatic climate control while Mobilio sticks to manual even on the top end.
• Mobilio offers easy ingress and egress with wide second-row and reclining and folding middle row.
• The jazzed up Mobilio RS offers projector headlamps, day-time-running LEDs, flashy colors, upgraded infotainment system which will take a dig at the top-end Innova.

Power

Mobilio's diesel engine packs similar power and torque figure compared to the most powerful MPV in the segment – Toyota Innova. On the contrary, the Mobilio engine is a 1000cc less than the Innova but offers fuel economy way above the Innova's territory. The 1.5L Honda's i-DTEC packs 98.6bhp (100PS) and 200Nm of torque while the Toyota's 2.5L 100.6bhp and 200Nm of torque. Honda returns 24.2km/l while the Toyota returns a petty 12km/l.

On the petrol front, Mobilio offers City's 1.5L i-VTEC churning out 117bhp and 145Nm and returns 17.01km/l. While Innova leads in the gasoline front with a massive 2.0 liter motor developing 131.4bhp and 181Nm of torque while returning approximately 10km/l.
