Good morning, BroadwayWorld! Because we know all our readers eat, sleep and breathe Broadway, what could be better than waking up to it? Today's big news: PHOENIX, starring Julia Stiles and James Wirt, begins tonight at Cherry Lane, John Leguizamo's GHETTO KLOWN comes to Central Park, and three concerts highlight Broadway talent this evening at 42West, Joe's Pub and 54 Below!
Next up in our series of Broadway stars introducing BWW's morning feature is composer and lyricist Benj Pasek (portrait by Walter McBride), who was nominated for a Tony Award for his work on A CHRISTMAS STORY THE MUSICAL last year and also wrote DOGFIGHT, which ran at Second Stage in 2012. Take note of Pasek's positive attitude and chase away those Monday mopes with the news!

And finally, a Happy Birthday shout-out to Sally Struthers, who turns 68 today!
Struthers has starred on Broadway in Grease, The Odd Couple and Wally's Cafe. The singer has appeared on television in Gilmore Girls, General Hospital, Dinosaurs, Nine to Five, All in the Family and more and recently starred in the movies Waiting in the Wings: The Musical and Hollywood Musical!
