Police are hunting for two or three suspects after a 43-year-old pizza delivery man was beaten and robbed in Montreal North just after midnight Monday.

The attackers fled with pizzas after attacking the man on Belleville near Gouin.

Police have recovered the empty boxes and are investigating in an effort to find the assailants.

Police had initially reported that the man was stabbed but later said that he was only beaten.

The victim was treated for wounds to his face and upper body after being assaulted by the assailants.

His life is not in danger.

It is not yet known whether the suspects ordered the pizzas and ambushed the man upon his arrival.
