Patrick Cote, who played for the Nashville Predators from 1998-2000, was recently sentenced to 30 months in prison after pleading guilty to two bank robberies, according to radio station CJAD 800-AM in Montreal.

Cote, 39, told investigators that both robberies, which took place in Quebec province, occurred in May.

Police caught up to Cote in a stolen Cadillac, which had broken down on him.

It wasn't the first time Cote found himself on the wrong side of the law. In 2002 he was arrested in Malone, N.Y., for being in possession of 30 pounds of marijuana. He also violated his parole twice.

Along with the Predators, Cote played for the Dallas Stars (1995-98) and Edmonton Oilers (2000-01).

The 6-3, 220-pound enforcer played a total of 105 games in the NHL, posting one goal and two assists.
