Let the battles begin! Father-of-eight invents device that can fill 100 water balloons in less than a minute

An entrepreneurial father has transformed the water balloon fight by inventing a device that enables one to fill more than a hundred balloons in under a minute.

The Bunch O Balloons, created by Josh Malone, a dad of eight in Plano, Texas, holds 37 balloons - all attached by small tubes to a single cap that connects to a hose. After about twenty seconds, all the balloons are full, and detach from the tubes with just a little shake. A tiny ring closes them off.

Mr Malone is currently raising money on Kickstarter to put his creation into production. He requested $10,000 and has already received almost $300,000, and still has 26 days to go.

Mr Malone told Huffington Post he came up with the idea because his family was going through hundreds of balloons during the long, hot Texas summers.

'We put a lot of effort into filling them and tying them and being careful not to waste them before they're done,' he said. 'It's obviously very time consuming.'

The balloons are biodegradable, and the stems (the tiny tubes that connect the balloon to the water source) are recyclable - and you save more water than if you filled them individually, since there's no dripping in between fills.

A breakthrough! The Bunch O Balloons is truly easy to use: Just attach to a hose and the balloons will fill up in less than 20 seconds

At this point, the only way to purchase Mr Malone's invention is to donate to his Kickstarter. Alas, since the response has been so overwhelming, all of the rewards with delivery times in 2014 are already sold out. But for $16 or more, you can get 1 package (with more than 100 balloons) delivered in July 2015.

Mr Malone expects that the Bunch O Balloons will be available at mass retailers by next year, after all the Kickstarter awards have gone out. He does not yet know what the official retail price will be.
