Abducted boy's body found near Uchti village

KANPUR: Body of 17-year-old Abhay, who was kidnapped from Chakeri on Wednesday, was found near Uchti village close to Maharajpur area on Kanpur-Allahabad national highway on Saturday night. The police have arrested three persons in connection with the murder. The kidnappers had allegedly demanded a ransom of Rs 5 lakh from boy's father Rakesh Singh Chauhan of Fatehpur, who works as a private worker in a firm in Ahmedabad.
The Chakeri police had registered a case of kidnapping after 17-year-old Abhay, a student of class XI at a public school, went missing on way to his native village on Wednesday.

The boy's family had arranged a rented accommodation in Patel nagar area for Abhay so that he could pursue his studies at a local college.
The boy had told his landlord that he was going to his native place to bring ration, but went missing since then. The family approached police after they received a ransom call on Thursday morning. The Chakeri Police have arrested three persons and lodged an FIR against them under various sections of Indian Penal Code.
As per information obtained, the boy's family members had received a phone call on Thursday morning wherein the caller demanded him to reach Kanpur Central railway station along with a ransom of Rs 5 lakh for the safe release of his son.
