KSE Indicators End Last Week in Green Zone


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Wait July 26 (QNA) - Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) ended last week in the green zone. The Price Index closed at 7130.89 points up by 0.48 percent from the week before closing the Weighted Index increased by 0.88 percent after closing at 481.77 points whereas the KSX-15 Index closed 1176.59 points up by 1.07 percent. Meanwhile last week's average daily turnover decreased by 31.48 percent compared to the preceding week reaching KD 12.26 million whereas trading volume average was 110.82 million shares recording a decrease of 39.56 percent as shown by a report released by Bayan Investment Company and carried by Kuwait news agency KUNA. The stock market indicators were able to close in the green zone this week supported by the active purchasing power and the collection operations that included a wide ray of stocks especially the large-cap ones the report said. The purchasing operations concentrated on stocks of some large-cap and operational listed companies and came after the positive results disclosed by such companies which pushed the market indices to increase especially the Weighted and KSX-15 indices the most responding indices to such stocks activity the report added. In addition the company noted that the sale for profit operations were not absent to affect the stock market indices performance last week despite the gains it realized during the week as a result to the purchasing operations that included many stocks whereas most of the daily sessions witnessed partial selling operations including some large-cap and small-cap stocks which explains the market indices' fluctuation during such sessions.(QNA)
