MMDA advises motorists: Avoid NLEX Lawang Bago to Tabang until Monday

Motorists may want to avoid a portion of the northbound part of the North Luzon Expressway until Monday as traffic there remains heavy, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said Sunday.

In a post on its Twitter account, the MMDA said: "Please avoid NLEX NB from Lawang Bato, Valenzuela to Tabang, Bulacan. Heavy traffic may last until July 28, Monday."

The Iglesia Ni Cristo is holding its centennial celebration at the Ciudad de Victoria in Bulacan.

Earlier, the NLEX estimated some 82,000 vehicles may have been used to ferry Iglesia Ni Cristo members to the centennial venue.
