Nine-year-old Karunakar is insisting his mother take him back to school. He’s worried about missing his exams that were scheduled on Saturday. The exam is the only thing he talks about and when asked about the train, he simply looks up and goes into a shell. His right eye is severely damaged and his right cheek is swollen due to trauma.

Six-year-old Darshan meanwhile, celebrated his birthday on Friday along with all the nurses and doctors and even cut cake. He demanded a bottle of Maaza, which arrived immediately. As of Saturday, he remains restless insisting his mother stay with him.
