Koi Mil Gaya actor Rajat Bedi to make cine comeback
You might remember him as PreityZinta’s obnoxious fiance in Koi Mil Gaya. However, actor RajatBedi hasn’t been seen very often in films since then.
We met him at an event in the capital recently, and he told us he was planning to make a filmi comeback after a gap of seven years. He told DT, “Yes, I am planning to make a comeback after a long time. Honestly, I wasn’t satisfied with the kind of roles I was getting, so I moved to Canada and settled there with my family.
Also, itna paisa nahitha Bollywood mein, and I wanted to make money, so I decided to start on my own business there.”
On being asked why he plans to make a comeback, he says, “Well, I never said that I would quit acting. Woh toh acting ka keeda hai abhi bhi mere andar, isliye I have decided to make a comeback. I am sure it’s not going to be easy. I see a huge difference in Bollywood now. There are so many talented newcomers in the industry and it’s going to be more challenging for me. Besides acting, I plan to venture into production and set up a production house in Mumbai soon.”
Rajat, who is a sports enthusiast, is also the co-owner of one of the teams in the upcoming World Kabaddi League, and this is why he was in Delhi. He tells us, “I have always been into sports like basketball, kabaddi and hockey. Over the past few years, sports events like IPL, HIL and IBL have proved that sports and entertainment go hand in hand. It is great to watch the way other sports are being promoted now in India with the support of people from the entertainment world.”
Delighted to be in Delhi, he shares, “I love coming to Delhi as it gives me a chance to catch up with my old friends. I enjoy eating chhole kulche and rajma chawal you get here. Also, I haven’t travelled by the Delhi Metro, so next time pucca Metro ride pe jaunga.”
