Boys latest gunshot victims in Malabon, Navotas

An 11-year-old boy was hit by a stray bullet while watching TV at home in Barangay Niugan, Malabon City, Friday night.

The police said a bullet pierced the roof of the house and hit Jann Edmar Santos in the right arm around 9:15 p.m.

The victim was brought by his mother to the Pagamutang Bayan ng Malabon for treatment. Investigators have yet to come up with a suspect.

The incident happened a day after another minor in neighboring Navotas City was shot and wounded by a motorbike-riding gunman.

Ernie Tariada Timban was about to leave a friend’s house at Carville Subdivision in Barangay Tanza when he was shot around 9 p.m. on Thursday by a male assailant who was wearing a ski mask, according to the officer on the case, PO3 Marife Malinao.
