Ranveer Singh stole Deepika Padukone from Ranbir Kapoor

Ranveer Singh makes a special appearance on Deepika Padukone’s Corsica set and woos her away from ’hero’ Ranbir Kapoor.
Mirror was the first to report that Ranveer Singh, after wrapping up Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do, will visit steady date Deepika Padukone in Corsica where she’s currently shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s Tamaasha with Ranbir Kapoor.
Now, we’ve learnt that the actor is on the island, keeping his lady love company and he also dropped by her film set recently.He was clicked with Harish Shetty, who is the camera attendant of the film’s cinematographer Ravi Verman.

Said a source in the Corsica unit, “Ranveer is good friends with Ravi, who shot his last film Goliyon Ki Raas Leela Ram-Leela. So it’s not unusual for him to be goofing with the cinematographer on set. Ravi also filmed Ranbir’s Barfi!”
And did he ever bump into Ranbir, who is Deepika’s former boyfriend, during the surprise visit?
“Yes, he did and they were cordial with each other. However, Ranbir keeps to himself whenever Ranveer and Deepika are hanging around together,” added the source.
The love birds recently visited Park de Saleccia, a botanical garden spread over several acres in Bastia, the north-eastern part of Corsica where the unit is currently shooting. The two also sampled the local cuisine at eateries after pack-up. Ranveer will be back in India over the weekend.
Mirror has also learnt that the reason the film is set in Corsica is because Deepika’s character is a huge fan of the French comic series, Asterix, which is set on the French island.

“Inspired by the character, she decides to go on a trip to the island where she meets another Indian traveller, played by Ranbir. While exploring the place together, they fall in love,” our source added.
In Deepika’s case, real life seems to be imitating reel life. Love... actually!
