Infant kidnapped from Harola rescued in Delhi

A seven-month-old boy, who was kidnapped by a couple from Harola area in Noida, has been rescued from Delhi on Thursday evening.

NOIDA: A seven-month-old boy, who was kidnapped by a couple from Harola area in Noida, has been rescued from Delhi on Thursday evening.
Police said the accused, Gajraj and Ruby, were childless after three years of marriage. The couple planned to kidnap the newly-born son of their neighbour Jagdish, who worked with Gajraj in a garment factory in Sector 10.
“At around 6pm on July 21, Ruby took Jagdish’s son with her but did not return.
When Jagdish and his wife went to enquire at Ruby and Gajraj’s house late in the night, they found the door locked from outside. Their mobile phones were also switched off,” a senior police official said. They filed a complaint with the sector 20 police station.
The police immediately put the mobile phones of the accused under surveillance. They were traced down and boy rescued from Delhi’s Tagore Garden on Thursday. The police said the accused planned to run away with the boy to Agra.
“Gajraj, Ruby and her brothers-in-law were arrested from the spot,” police said.
