An elderly woman has died in hospital from injuries she sustained in a road traffic collision in Co Clare last Monday.
The two-vehicle crash happened at around 5.30pm on 21 July on the main Ennis to Kilrush N68 road at Darragh.
The woman, who was in her 80s, was a passenger in a car that collided with an SUV and overturned, trapping her and the male driver inside.
The driver of the second vehicle escaped injury.
The injured woman was taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment but died early this morning.
A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out.
