MANGALORE: Tulu Koota will organize Tulu Tulipu to give a fillip to its efforts to include Tulu in the Eight Schedule of the Constitution, at Ravindra Kalabhavan, University College, here, on Sunday.
Tulu Koota sees Tulu Tulipu (churning of Tulu) as a natural extension of its endeavour in this regard, a process that was started with the first all India Tulu Sammelan organized by it in 1984.

Noting that Tulu is yet to receive prominence like other Dravidian languages, B Damodhar Nisarga, president Tulu Koota, said the organization is striving in this direction for the past three decades.
Tulu Koota has also decided to place a demand before the state government to rename Dakshina Kannada district as Tulu district, he said. “A memorandum will also be sent to the government beforehand, he said, adding there will be a discussion on the issue at the Tulu Tulipu meeting.
