BHUBANESWAR: The second round counseling for unfilled MBBS and BDS seats began in the state on Thursday.
Apart from the already registered aspirants, around 50 new AIPMT qualifiers who registered on Thursday will be considered for admission against 357 undergraduate medical and dental seats, joint director medical education and training Uma Satapathy said.
These include 100 MBBS seats in SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, for which admission was allowed by Medical Council of India recently.
The government will publish the revised merit list on Friday. Students will be allowed to lock their choices on Friday and Saturday, he said.
Allotment letters will be issued on July 27, and selected students have to join the respective colleges by August 3.
