HMS Group Q2 Total Order Intake Rises - Quick Facts

HMS Group (HMSG.L), pump and compressor manufacturer as well as provider of flow control solutions and related services in Russia and the CIS, said that total order intake for the second-quarter rose 6% to 5.988 billion Russian Rubles from 5.637 billion Rubles in the same quarter last year.

Total order intake for the first-half 2014 amounted to 12.7 billion Rubles, down 4% from the previous year. The Group's order intake for the first half of 2014 as well as for the corresponding period of 2013 was built mainly by small and medium-sized contracts.

In industrial pumps business segment order intake for the first-half 2014 grew by 14% year-over-year to 7.3 billion Rubles, while Oil & gas business segment increased its order intake by 18% year-over-year to 3.6 billion Rubles.

Decline of the order intake in the project and design sub-segment in the first half of 2014 was a consequence of its weak performance in the first quarter of 2014.

The Total order intake for the latest-quarter and latest first-half of 2014 excluded construction subsidiary SKMN due to its disposal in December 2013.
