Rumour: She sneaked out of her birthday party at Olive Bar & Kitchen to go on a long drive with Shahid Kapoor.
Reality: Talking about Shahid-Soankshi’s late-night rendezvous to a national daily, a friend of Sonakshi revealed, “Shahid was running late and couldn't meet her while she partied in Bandra with her other friends. However, once the do was wrapped up, Shahid arrived and the two spent quite a substantial amount of time together. Shahid is really fond of Sonakshi and the two spend a lot of time in each other's company. Since Sonakshi has been busy promoting her film, she hasn't found the time to catch up with Shahid. So when he met up with her on the eve of her birthday, she was really delighted.”
Rumour: She will do lovemaking scenes only in the presence of her mother Poonam Sinha.
Reality: This was during the filming of her film Lootera where she is part of a steamy lovemaking scene with co-star Ranveer Singh. However, there were reports later that this bit of gossip had upset Sonakshi. Friends close to her were quoted saying that the actor had taken offence and was upset with the producers and PR teams for deploying such cheap tactics to promote her projects.
A friend of the actor told a national daily, “Sonakshi is a director's actor and at the same time she makes it clear beforehand what she is comfortable doing and what she is not. She doesn't require her mother or anyone else to supervise her on the sets."
Rumour: She had a huge crush on Lootera co-star Ranveer Singh.
Reality: Sonakshi has gone on record saying, “Yes I had praised Ranveer for his work and all. But it was all misconstrued. It is a part and parcel of our job and we can’t do much about it.” She also said that Ranveer works very hard and stays in the character even when the camera isn’t rolling. She is also proud of the fact that they share such amazing on-screen chemistry.
