On security track

LAHORE - Pakistan Railways Police (PRP) has tightened security of train and railways infrastructure to avoid any untoward incident ahead of Eidul Fitr.
“The rush of passengers has been increased at trains and railways stations. Probably, miscreants and notorious elements are active to launch their activities in the trains/stations. In this context, PRP IG Syed Ibne Hussain has issued strict instructions to all SPs to ensure fully security of Railways infrastructure and passengers across the country,” said the PRP spokesperson on Thursday.
The IG also directed all the SPs to depute sufficient force on the exit/entry points of all the stations and strict watch be carried out over suspicious persons. Unauthorized persons will not be allowed to enter at Railway Stations regarding security point of view. Commando Force will be deputed at vulnerable installations and in the trains. Bomb Disposal staff also utilise for the search of luggage and passengers at the Railway Stations.
“The IGP also directed all the SPs Railways to conduct complete check/search the empty rakes before stationed at the platforms. SPs will present on Eid holidays and randomly check the trains, stations and escorting staff,” it was stated.
