Music director Ghibran is a happy man today. He has crossed more than half-a-dozen films as music composer, and is only getting stronger by the day as he has several projects in the pipeline too. Currently, he has both Vishwaroopam 2 and Uthama Villain and is enjoying the process of discussing music with Kamal Haasan, who is a big music fan too.

“I am happy to score music for Kamal Hassan sir, as he is not only knowledgeable in movie making but is also well-versed in music. Wherever he goes, he thinks of films only and how to improve it. He recently bought some rare musical instruments from Bali and purchased a few Malaysian instruments too.” The duo is trying to use these sounds in their projects. “The music for Uthama Villain has a fusion of western and old-period instruments. We are also featuring the Malayalam art form ‘Thaiyyam’ in one sequence.” Ghibran’s collaboration with the Ulaganayagan is set to continue – for, he’s working on the Tamil remake of Drishyam as well.
