Fusion anchor Jorge Ramos bashed proposals to deport the minors illegally crossing the border and Texas Governor Rick Perry’s plan to send National Guard troops to the southern border. In an appearance on Tuesday’s The O’Reilly Factor on the Fox News Channel, Ramos said “I don’t think any government should be in the business of deporting endangered children. That’s not the American way, that’s not the Christian way.” He agreed that the US cannot take in every child who comes from a dangerous region of the world, but also argued that “These children are not a concern for the United States. They are not terrorists, they are not criminals.”
He also railed against Rick Perry’s deployment of National Guard troops to the border, declaring that sending the National Guard was “absurd,” and “useless.”
