Sony’s revival plans

Sony Entertainment Television aims to revive the channel completely in the next few months. Before the launch of Amitabh Bachchan’s Yudh, the senior EVP and business head of the channel had revealed the channel’s plans to launch six to eight new shows in the next two months. One of those shows is being produced by Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut Productions.
While Shahi, who has done Kuch Toh Log Kahenge earlier for the channel, confirmed that he will be doing the show, but refused to divulge any details, stating that, “It’s a coming of age aspirational love story.”
However, sources from the production house inform that the show would be set in Agra and revolves around a guy, played by Anuj Sachdev, who wanted to be a cricketer. “The show is going on floors from this week with the unit shooting in Mira Road,” informs the source. The show also features Smriti Kalra, who became popular as Suvreen Guggal, alongside Sachdev.
