Eight award-winning films on DD Sahyadri

Doordarshan Mumbai Kendra (DMK) organised the Sahyadri Monsoon Marathi Chitrapat Mahotsav showcasing the Best of Marathi Cinema last week. The festival was inaugurated by veteran actor Jeetendra and film-maker Kiran Shantaram and eight award- winning Marathi films were screened as a part of the festival at DMK.
Badha, Deool, Gabricha Paus, Sumbaran, Maati Maay, Shevri, Ek Cup Chya and Digant were screened with English subtitles.
Students and audience got a chance to interact with the director, cast and crew post the screening of every film. Interestingly, the pubcaster started airing the recorded interactions in between the telecast of the award-winning films. The telecast began on July 21 and will go on till July 24 on Sahyadri from 3 pm to 7 pm.
