Actors Ashwini Kalsekar and Murli Sharma, who shared screen space with Shreyas Talpade in Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal series, will be seen making a guest appearance in producer Shreyas Talpade’s Poshter Boyz. When they were approached by Shreyas to be a part of the film, they immediately said yes without even reading the script. Ashwini said, “Both Shreyas and Dipti are family and when Shreyas approached me for the film I didn’t even read the script, I directly said yes.”
To release on August 1, the film stars Dilip Prabhavalkar, Hrishikesh Joshi, Aniket Vishwasrao, Hrishikesh Joshi, Pooja Sawant and Neha Joshi

Malayalam film director Sasikumar passes away

Veteran film director Sasikumar, who gave scores of hits during the ’60s and ’70s mostly featuring Malayalam’s evergreen hero Prem Nazir, died in Kochi on July 17. The 86-year old was suffering from age-related illness. He was admitted to a private hospital where he died. He directed as many as 141 films, a record of sort in Malayalam film industry. Nazir played the lead in about 80 movies in Malayalam. Having made his directorial debut with Kudumbini, a family- melodrama, Sasikumar was a recipient of Kerala Government’s highest film award instituted in memory of Malayalam film’s pioneer J.C. Daniel.
