Skywalk with escalator on Dr Rajkumar road in Bangalore launched

BANGALORE: Pedestrians in Rajaji Nagar who have been meddling to cross the high density corridor, can have some relief now. On Thursday, Brigade group in joint venture with the BBMP inaugurated the skywalk with escalator on Rajkumar road. The project executed at the cost of Rs 2.5 crore has been built up in such way that people of all age groups can make use of the facility.
Speaking during the launch , M R Jaishankar, Chairman and Managing Director, Brigade Group said that such facilities are need of the hour.
“Most of the roads in Bangalore are choking with traffic and it is difficult for pedestrians to cross roads, more so during peak office hours. Dr Rajkumar Road also was no exception. With the Metaaro work, expansion of the road and huge fast moving traffic, pedestrians had to wait long before they could find space to walk across. It was for this reason that Brigade Group, with the support of BBMP constructed this skywalk,” he said.
