Cruise insider: Sailing to Alaska on the Disney Wonder

What's it like sailing to Alaska on a Disney ship? Now you can see for yourself right here at USA TODAY's Cruise Hub.

USA TODAY Travel got an insider's look earlier this summer at the unique way that Disney is operating Alaska voyages on the 1,754-passenger Disney Wonder, and we'll be rolling out a series of videos on the experience over the next few days.

As can be seen in the first of the videos, in the carousel above, Disney places a big emphasis on bringing elements of Alaska onto the ship. Everything from youth activities to dining on board gets an Alaskan tinge, and even such Disney icons as Mickey and Minnie show up for photos in Alaskan garb.

We'll be posting Part 2 of the series here at USA TODAY's Cruise Hub on Friday, with more videos to come next week.

For a deck-by-deck look at public spaces and cabins on the Disney Wonder, don't miss our related, comprehensive Cruise Ship Tour of the vessel in the carousel below.
