MUSIC REVIEW: Anvatt

A simple album that brought to life two beautiful old songs is something to watch out for
MUSIC REVIEW: Anvatt
Music: Pt Hridaynath Mangeshkar
Ratings: ***
The soundtrack of the album comprises two evergreen Marathi songs. The tracks 'Yere Ghana' and Tarun Ahe Ratra Ajuni had been taken from one of Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar's music album. Both the tracks have been reprised in this film and have been arranged by Bollywood music directors Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, under the guidane of Hridaynath.
'Yere Ghana' is the song of nature and speaking about its beauty in a song is singer Vibhawari Apte-Joshi.She might not match the style of Asha Bhosale's singing in the original version but Vibhawari has given her touch to this semi-classical song in the movie. Subtle and soul-stirring the music is the highlight of the song. 'Tarun ahe ratra ajuni' is a love song sung by Shankar Mahadevan and Sapna Phatak in the movie. The singers complement the music and its lyrics very well. We love the way Shankar has made an effort to get the feel and expression out in the song.
A simple album that brought to life two beautiful old songs is something to watch out for.
