Fans of Captain America will get to see a lot more of his past in the second installment of Avengers titled "Avengers: Age of Ultron," as Hayley Atwell is all set to reprise her role as Peggy Carter in the movie.

Captain America's love interest Peggy was last seen in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" as a withering old woman in an old age home.

Atwell confirmed the news of her role in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, where she spoke about a conversation that she had with director Joss Whedon.

"We went out drinking one night and he was like, 'You know, it would be great to write something for you,' And I was like, 'Yes, Joss, it would! It would be amazing!'" she said, according to Movie Pilot.

Peggy is expected to be featured in flashbacks. A source from the production of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" told Movieweb that Chris Evans, who essays the role of Captain America, and Atwell were recently shooting some scenes inside London's Rivoli Ballroom, where extras were seen dancing the "Lindy Hop."

Reports have it that the Rivoli ballroom scene also involves Paul Bettany as the Vision.

Another picture leaked from the sets of superhero movie shows Captain America and Peggy dressed in 1940's uniforms, confirming rumors that more of the superhero's past will be shown in "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

The second installment in the Avengers franchise will feature Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow and Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver respectively.

The plot will revolve around the superheroes' effort to prevent mankind from Ultron, the robot created by Tony Stark so that the Avengers could take a much needed break.

But their plan backfires when Ultron decides to eliminate mankind from the face of earth, believing humans stand in the way of peace.

"I know you're good people. I know you mean well. But you just didn't think it through. There is only one path to peace... your extermination," Ultron says in the movie.

Shedding light on the though process of the villain, director Whedon told Entertainment Weekly said that "Ultron sees the big picture and he goes, 'Okay, we need radical change, which will be violent and appalling, in order to make everything better'; he's not just going 'Muhaha, soon I'll rule!' He's on a mission. He wants to save us."
