Historic Downtown Fort Dodge Hosts Market On Central Farmers Market
Fort Dodge, IA (PRWEB) July 24, 2014 -- This Saturday the Historic Downtown in Fort Dodge, IA will be filled with families not only enjoying the Farmers Market but also the wide variety of entertainment. Featured will be the popular Eddie Simpson Trio playing favorites from the 50's to the 70's. The Lil' Rednek Pony Rides will have a waiting line of kids as will the face painting booth.

"Our Market on Central Village in Historic Downtown Fort Dodge will surprise our visitors at each market and have the entire family smiling."
At the Information Booth area the Discover You Can: Learn, Make, Share demonstrations and information on preserving food purchased at the farmers market will be going on. Everyone will also be able to talk to the Unity Point - Trinity Regional Medical staff to learn more about Smoking Cessation, Life Saving Screens and Early Heart Attack Care.
There are rumors that there will be dancing in the streets at Market on Central with National Dance Day also falling on July 26th. Visitors will enjoy music and dancing at all areas of the Market on Central Village located in Historic Downtown Fort Dodge.
Vendors at this Market on Central will be featuring a summer favorite - Sweet Corn. Visitors will also be able to purchase a wide variety of fresh produce along with jams, jellies, baked goods, wine, popcorn, cotton candy, cheesecake, farm fresh eggs and even a bacon cooker to use for their Sunday breakfast. New vendors can be found at each Market on Central so there is always something different to see.
Later in the season at the September 27th Market on Central, the health fair, registration and packet pick up for the Fort Dodge Apple Fest 5K/10K Walk Run will be held. The race date will be Sunday, September 28th. This event is sponsored by the Fort Dodge Noon and Daybreak Rotary, Iowa Central Community College and Unity Point-Trinity Regional Medical Center. Proceeds from the event go towards the organization's sponsored community events and scholarships. Registration is currently being accepted at Active.
