Man, grandson killed over property feud

GREATER NOIDA: A 75-year-old man and his 23-year-old grandson were murdered by the man's elder son and other grandsons in Tusiyana, Greater Noida on Tuesday night. Police confirmed the double murder was the result of a property dispute. No arrests have been made as the accused are on the run.
Confirming that the murders took place because of a five-year-old property feud, police said the deceased, identified as Rampal and his grandson Shekhar, were sleeping at their home when the incident occurred.
According to police, The accused, Jagdish, elder son of Rampal, and his two sons Jeetu, 23, and Sunny, 14, barged into their house on Tuesday night. Three of them first slit Rampal's throat with a sharp-edged weapon and then shot Shekhar, who was sleeping in another room. Shekhar ran towards Jagdish's residence, which is nearby, assuming that Jagdish's wife would save them. He was proved wrong by his kin who chased and killed him there.
Bisrakh police have filed an FIR against Jagdish, Jeetu and Sunny, who fled after the murders.
According to family members, Rampal had a 10 bigha plot which he divided between his two sons Jagdish and Shri Krishan. But Shri Krishnan and his wife died at a very early age and their child Shekhar started living with Rampal. It is alleged that Jagdish wanted to grab the entire property so he killed them both.
Shekhar's wife Sarita, an eyewitness of the incident, raised alarm for help and called the police. When police reached the spot duo were lying in the pool of blood. They were taken to hospital where they were declared as brought dead.
The police said Jagdish is history sheeter and there are around 15 cases of murder, loot and dacoity against him.
