National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) on Wednesday announced its panel for the upcoming Panjab University student council election of 2014.
The previous panel, after successfully completing their term under whose leadership the party had won last year’s election and bagged two posts in student council, that of president and joint secretary, came forward to announce the new panel.
Senior party leaders Manoj Lubana and Bhupinder Singh Batth voluntarily resigned from their posts of party president and chairman respectively to make way for the new young leaders who would carry forward the legacy of NSUI in the university.
The new panel announced comprised president Rimpey Brar, Party president Hardeep Singh, Chairman Amrinder Singh, Chief Patron Simranjit Kaur Gill and State president PU Harpreet Singh.
The announcements were made by Rahul Inder Singh Bhattal who has been appointed by the All India Congress Committee to co-ordinate and supervise NSUI for PUCSC election 2014.
He was accompanied by Brinder Dhillon, NSUI National co-ordinator, Chandan Rana, president PUCSC-2013, social worker Gagan Brar, Social and State president Punjab NSUI Daman Bajwa.
The newly formed panel while addressing the students said that they would continue to serve them humbly.
